It's just allergies- until it's not.
Many people struggle with itching, watery eyes, sneezing, and even chronic asthma and see this as normal. Allergies seem minor until you tally up how many family and personal events are missed or half experienced, how many sick days you've used, or how often you're just muddling through the day to survive these symptoms. In some instances they're just annoying, in others they're the cause of chronic infections and uncontrolled asthma, which can really impact your quality of life. Suffering shouldn't be normal and we can help.
Breathing easily is something a lot of people take for granted!
When you're struggling with asthma or allergies, you understand the burden that those medical conditions can bring. Too often, patients are ignored or brushed aside when they complain of their symptoms. Multiple work and school days are missed. They don't feel taken seriously or listened to and they give up. They go with what the doctor says and take "good enough" as the best that can be done. They continue to suffer.
We believe in preventive care!
This means we take a proactive approach in trying to prevent illness and keep it under control rather than responding to a crisis situation or a bad infection. If you're asking yourself if it's "bad enough" to come see us, the answer is already yes. We would much rather reassure you now and work to make sure you stay well than have to work doubly hard with you at stopping the suffering that uncontrolled allergies and asthma can bring.
At The Asthma-Allergy Clinic we think doctors can do better
You will see the doctor at each visit. We don't subscribe to the "ten minute" insurance standard that has been set. You are a human first. Dr. McConnell loves what he does and it shows in the way we treat our patients. We listen to you and we communicate with you about your treatment until you understand. We take pride in educating you on what's happening so that you don't feel so out of control. We feel that you and our staff are a team in treating your struggles.
We work for you, not the insurance company. We feel that access to care and conservative pricing is an important part of caring for a population. Don't let a fear of cost keep you from calling us to see what we can do for you. Feeling better may be less costly than you think, and it's certainly less costly than frequent emergency or maintenance visits! Let us help you solve the problem. Visiting an allergy clinic could make all the difference for your symptoms.

Proudly serving you since 1984
The Asthma-Allergy Clinic opened its doors in 1984 to serve the Arlington, TX community. With decades of experience, Dr. McConnell and his staff are prepared to guide you through this process and answer any questions you have along the way. We want to help you find relief from your allergies or asthma. We want you to get your life back.
We are not owned by a corporation. We are a local physician business and we kept it that way for a reason. Dr. McConnell firmly believes in the patient-physician relationship. He is a board certified allergist- not an Ear Nose Throat Surgeon and not someone who has expanded their clinic to include allergy care. He is a specialist who is constantly working to improve his knowledge to better care for you. These things make all the difference. He is disappointed and frustrated with the way the corporatization of medicine has impacted patient care- and it is reflected in everything we do here at The Asthma-Allergy Clinic.
Our goal is to provide knowleadgeable compassionate care that puts the patient first. Healing is a calling, and we treat it as such.
